You Can Help! More Volunteers = More Children Reached
Planning for our Summer 2013 Session of Kid's Explosion is complete and will begin on June 17th.
However, church groups and individuals are still needed to expand this program to new locations in the future.
We would love to see many more churches hold Kids Explosions in their neighborhoods. The curriculum and format is all designed and ready to go but it is also flexible and can be revised to suit your needs and congregation. Permission to hold the Christian based parties has already been granted by the organization that provides the lunches and by JPS.
Check the posted schedule and drop by one of the sessions this summer to see how effective this ministry is. You'll be hooked! Then find where you or your group can fit in.
The potential is vast! Hundreds more children can be reached if we work together. Wendy hosts up to 10 meetings every week plus a weekly training session.

Jackson News: The Potential Impact of Kids Explosion on Our Community By local writer, Shannon Hutchison
“God loves me. I have sinned. Jesus died for me. I need to decide to live for Him” – a powerful message when shared, embraced, and acted upon by people. A message that can liberate souls from spiritual shackles, not to mention transforms a broken, lawless community into a free, God-directed one.
Today this concept came to my mind after reflecting upon the hour I spent last Friday at Kids Explosion, a ministry of Together We Can Make A Difference.
That day at the Salvation Army, as I witnessed enthusiastic kids flawlessly recite that four sentence statement strictly from memory, and seeing others in T-shirts with those words on the back, I thought: “Wow. If these youngsters would each day apply that hope message in their lives with the same passion they exhibited in learning and reciting it, freedom in a society full of lost people can be achieved.
And also, these kids will experience Christ’s overabundant joy in the process - all because they are obedient to Him”. READ MORE
Kids’ Explosion Program JOIN THE CAUSE - VOLUNTEER NOW
KIDS’ EXPLOSION is an after school/summer Bible program. We provide one hour of music, games, Bible verse memorization, Bible story, object lessons to reinforce the story, and prizes. We give away at least 2 t-shirts at each party. Our shirts are given to kids who know the 4 most important things in life.
KID'S T-SHIRTS SAY THIS: 1. God Loves Me 2. I have sinned 3. Jesus died for me 4. I need to decide to live for HIM.
Kids’ Explosion has been in Jackson since 2000. It was started by a group of young people lead by Nathan Norman. Nathan and his wife have followed God to Haiti, and now to New Hampshire. They have left KIDS’ EXPLOSION in our hands. Please join with us as together we pray for our children and ask God to use us to build his kingdom.
We ask God for:
T-shirts, candy and prizes for each semester
Open doors for us to share the gospel in neighborhoods
Numerous workers needed to meet with the teens
The hearts of teenhelpers (interns) to be receptive to how God wants to use them.
Two sound systems to make two teams possible to continue working!
To make this prayer for our children come to life we need:
Volunteers who love God and children and who are prepared and willing to help at each party.
Drivers to help teen volunteers attend the Thursday training sessions.
Prayer warriors who will cover us in prayer and ask God to open the hearts of the people in our CITY!
Kid's Explosion Interns' Winter Retreat
We had a wonderful time at Spring Hill Camp with our Kids' Explosion Interns. We joined Lazy B's Ranch and formed our own Jackson Team. Thank you Spring Hill for helping us be able to share your beautiful camp! We all had a BLAST! Both the adults and the teens! We went horse back riding, paint balling, tubing, swimming, climbing, bungy jumping, and made memories with each other! The food was awsome! Thank you for the great speaker, music, skits, and time to spend looking at the beauty God has created right here in Michigan. Thank you to all the adults who helped make this happen too!
